UGGC Africa
Born from innovation
With 11 locations on 4 continents, UGGC Avocats – a leading French international law firm – opens in 2002 a pioneering office in Casablanca.
Pursuing the innovative vision of the firm, Ali Bougrine, Managing Partner of the Casablanca office, with the support of the Paris office, launches UGGC Africa.
Born from an alliance with two leading law firms in Ivory Coast and Cameroon (Dirabou & Associés in Abidjan and D.Moukouri & Partners in Douala), UGGC Africa offers its clients both expertise and a pan-African dimension.
UGGC Africa is already considering partnering with other African firms to strengthen its presence on the continent.
Built on a vision
The UGGC Africa network results from a pan-African think tank movement to best serve client interests on the continent.
It is a concrete and perfect merger of leading legal and tax African practices combined with international professional standards.
UGGC Africa’s teams share the same values (benevolence, trust, transparency and ethics) and a client-centred approach focused on creativity, responsiveness and added value.
Also, UGGC Africa pays particular attention to the individual development of its employees through training, both initial and ongoing.
As a commitment, the Casablanca office set up internship agreements with Mohammed V University and the International University of Rabat Law School (IUR), two of the most prestigious Moroccan Law, Economic and Social Sciences Universities.
This innovative and inspiring approach will extend to all countries where the UGGC Africa network is present.
Realising an ambition
UGGC Africa is part of the best law firms on the African continent consistently awarded by the leading legal guides and highly ranked in corporate law (by The Legal 500, Chambers and Partners, IFLR 1000, Jeune Afrique, Leaders League, etc…).
With a team of 8 partners and 30 practitioners, UGGC Africa covers more than 20 business law practices, including M&A, Private Equity, International Investments, Anti-Trust, Litigation and Arbitration.
Through a multidisciplinary approach: a client-focused relationship, as well as a territorial network and a perfect understanding of local specificities, UGGC Africa provide all its local and international clients with support tailored to their expectations and their strategic challenges.
