Frederic is an Associate in the Firm.

He specializes in banking law, financing law, and private equity.

He is a Ph.D. Researcher in Private Law at the University of Dschang in Cameroon and specialises in banking governance. He holds a Master’s degree in Business and Corporate Law and a Master’s degree in Corporate Legal Engineering and Arbitration.

He advises credit institutions and investment services providers in their applications for authorisation before the Financial Market Supervisory Commission of Central Africa (COSUMAF) and their regulatory issues. He advises clients on corporate finance, structured finance, securitization, anti-money laundering regulations, and conflict of interest management. 

He also advises on specific financing issues, in particular the structuring of financing projects, the structuring of syndicated loans, and assistance with private placement bond issues, in particular on the main characteristics of the transaction (purpose of the loan, information on the quality of the issuer, the issuer’s financial soundness), the determination of the structuring of the transaction: rate, analysis of market conditions and market screening with a view to sounding out the market in relation to the risk premium, in particular, presentation of the transaction to the list of qualified investors retained. 

He also advises on innovative and traditional forms of payment services, trading, lending, and alternative finance, including mobile payments, e-wallets, and crowdfunding.

He has experience in some of the major technology-driven and outsourcing projects in Cameroon and the CEMAC zone.

Frederic is fluent in French and English.
